The Zumbudu Reads....

"The Bondage of the Will" by Martin Luther. Just wading through the introduction so far. Apparently a treatise written by Luther in response to Erasmus' letter against Luther's activities. I wonder why no one writes like this anymore. Maybe I'll start using the same kind of language and by example change the way everyone speaks...Wouldn't that be something?

More to follow as I continue wading....

Did Luther truly say of the Jews, the Israelites, that they should have their tongues cut out through the backs of their necks and their synagogues burned down two days before he died? Who is this Luther? Who is this Luther who would be against the chosen brethren of Jesus Christ so vehemently? Did not Christ Himself say that whatever you do to one of these, you do it unto Him? Is this the talk of one in unity with God the Father and Jesus Christ His Son? Where is the Agape? Where is there Christ-like motivation in this statement? Jesus called a Samaritan woman a dog. Gentiles were not grafted in untill later. God commanded that all of the offspring of Ishmael be killed at one time. He said leave none alive. They obeyed, except… So they kept the king overnight in a jail and killed him in the morning. Good Right? Not. He raped the girl that brought his supper and she got pregnant. Yeah. So the scum is still here. But. We still pray for their salvation. We don’t wish them all in hell even though they are who they are. How can this Luther have been so absolutely opposed to the purposes of Christ?

Well... The Ishmaelites are making luther happy now. Killing those Jews as I write. God's chosen. His blessed. Yep.
We are commanded by God Himself to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Now is a good time to do that.
